Before dealing with the topic of the Crooked in Quran versus Bible versus sciences, it is mandatory to remember that the total words in the Bible are 788,280 while the total words in the Quran are 77,473.

It follows that, the Bible is more than 10 times the Quran word-wise.

The Crooked is mentioned 16 times in the Bible and nine times in the Quran, i.e. the Bible mentions the Crooked about twice as does the Quran

In other words, the Bible has the potential of more than 10 times (word-wise) and twice (subject-wise) than the Quran to talk about the Crooked.

================================

The Crooked in the Bible:

The children of Israel are perverse and crooked generation

Deuteronomy 32:5

They have corrupted themselves; their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation.

Crooked and perverse nation

Philippians 2:15

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

The Israelites: The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths

Isaiah 59:8

The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.

==

God’s hand has formed the crooked serpent

Job 26:13

By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the crooked serpent

Isaiah 27:1

In that day the Lord with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

==

Those whose ways are crooked

Psalm 125:5

As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the Lord shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.

Proverbs 2:15

Whose ways are crooked, and they forward in their paths:

==

The crooked cannot be made straight

That which is wanting cannot be numbered

You will realize that the Bible will contradict itself and will say that the crooked will be made straight.

Also, that which is wanting can be numbered!

Ecclesiastes 1:15

That which is crooked cannot be made straight: and that which is wanting cannot be numbered.

He hath made my paths crooked.

Lamentations 3:9

He hath inclosed my ways with hewn stone; he hath made my paths crooked.

==

God can make that straight, which he hath made crooked

Ecclesiastes 7:13

Consider the work of God: for who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked?

The crooked shall be made straight

Isaiah 40:4

Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight and the rough places plain:

I will make the crooked things straight.

Isaiah 42:16

And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.

Isaiah 45:2

I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:

The crooked shall be made straight

Luke 3:5

Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth;

==

Those can not offer the bread of God

Watch the Human Rights

The Bible and the Rights of the disabled

Leviticus 21:18-21

18 For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,

19 Or a man that is broken footed or broken handed,

20 Or crookback, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;

21 No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the Lord made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God.

================================

The Crooked in the Quran:

What the Prophet “shu’aib” said to his people?

The Prophet “shu’aib” is not mentioned in the Bible!

Surah: 7, Verse: 86

Do not sit in every road, threatening and barring from the path of Allah those who believed it, nor seek to make it crooked. Remember how he multiplied you when you were few in number. Consider the end of the corrupters.

==

What the Quran says to the people of the Book?

Surah: 3, Verse: 99

Say: ‘people of the book, why do you bar he who believes from the path of Allah and seek to make it crooked, when you yourselves are witnesses (to Allah’s guidance)? Allah is not unaware of what ye do.

==

Those who prefer this life more than the everlasting life= the great error

Surah: 14, Verse: 3

Those who prefer this life more than the everlasting life and bar others from the way of Allah and seek to make it crooked they are in a great error.

==

Those who bar others from the path of Allah and desire to make it crooked, they disbelieve in the everlasting life.

Surah: 11, Verse: 19

Those who bar others from the path of Allah and seek to make it crooked, they disbelieve in the everlasting life.

Surah: 7, Verse: 45

Those who have barred others from the path of Allah and sought to make it crooked, they are the disbelievers in the everlasting life.

==

There is no crookedness in the Quran:

Surah: 18, Verse: 1

All praise belongs to Allah, who has sent down the book to his worshiper (His servant, the Prophet Muhammad) and has not made any crookedness in it,

Surah: 39, Verse: 28

It is an Arabic Quran without any crookedness that they may guard (against evil)

==

The everlasting life is True and

There is no crookedness at the Day of Judgment

Surah: 20, Verse: 107 and 108

107: Nothing crooked or curved wilt thou see in their place.

108: on that day, they will follow the summoner, who is not crooked, their voices hushed before the merciful, and you shall hear nothing except a murmuring.

Back to the main topic of my series of articles (1- 66); this is my question to you smart readers: “Is the Quran quoted from the Bible “? And which book contradicts with sciences?

The Sons of God in the Bible:

The sons of God married the daughters of men giving rise to mighty men of renown.

Genesis 6:2

That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Genesis 6:4

There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

The sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. All the sons of God shouted for joy when the morning stars sang together. Scientifically speaking, there are no morning stars or night stars; stars are stars. Also, stars do not sing.

Job 1:6

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.

Job 2:1

Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord.

Job 38:7

When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

How would you become the sons of God?

Psalm 29:1

[A psalm of David.] Ascribe to the Lord, O mighty ones, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.

Psalm 103:20

Praise the Lord, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word.

John 1:12

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Romans 8:14

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Romans 8:16

The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Romans 8:19

For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

Romans 8:21

Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

Romans 9:26

And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.

Galatians 3:26

[Sons of God] You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus,

Philippians 2:15

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

1 John 4:4

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

1 John 5:2

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

We should be called the sons of God

1 John 3:1

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

We the sons of God shall be like him

1 John 3:2

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord?

Psalm 89:6

For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord?

The sons of God do not die, they are like Angels.

Luke 20:36

Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

He will gather together in one the children of God

John 11:52

And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad.

The peacemakers are the sons of God

Matthew 5:9

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.

Who are not the children of God?

1 John 3:10

In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

The Israelites are the sons of God.

Hosea 1:10

Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.

Psalm 82:6

I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

Moses is the great among the Israelites.

Deuteronomy 34:10

And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face,

However, Moses was the servant (slave) of the Lord. This is mentioned in the Bible 16 times. Slave is the exact translation of the Hebrew word “ebed” which is translated as “servant”!

Deuteronomy 34:5

So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord.

Joshua 1:1

Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying,

Joshua 1:13

Remember the word which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, saying, The Lord your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land.

The Sons of God in the Quran:

Very strongly and clearly, the Quran denies and condemns that the Almighty Lord, the Creator has son or sons.

All Muslims are like the great Israelite prophet Moses, no more than slaves of the Almighty Lord, the Creator.

The Quran considers saying that the Almighty Lord, the Creator has Son or sons is an unforgiving sin that ultimately leads to an eternal punishment in the hell.

Surah 2:116-117

[116] They say: “Allah hath begotten a son”: Glory be to Him, nay, to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: everything renders worship to Him.

[117] To Him is due the primal origin of the heavens and the earth: when He decreeth a matter, He saith to it: “Be,” and it is.

Surah 10:68-69

[68] They say, “Allah hath begotten a son!” Glory be to Him! He is Self-Sufficient! His are all things in the heavens and on earth! No warrant have ye for this! Say ye about Allah what ye know not?

[69] Say: “Those who invent a lie against Allah will never prosper.”

Surah 17:111

Say: “Praise be to Allah, Who begets no son, and has no partner in (His) dominion: nor (needs) He any to protect Him from humiliation: yea, magnify Him for His greatness and glory!”

Surah 23:91

No son did Allah beget, nor is there any god along with Him: (if there were many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have Lorded it over others! Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the (sort of) things they attribute to Him!

Surah 43:81-83

[81] Say: “If (Allah) Most Gracious had a son, I would be the first to worship.”

[82] Glory to the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Throne (of Authority)! (He is free) from the things they attribute (to Him)!

[83] So leave them to babble and play (with vanities) until they meet that Day of theirs, which they have been promised.

Surah 19:88- 95

[88] They say: “(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten a son!”

[89] Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous!

[90] As if the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin.

[91] That they should invoke a son for (Allah) Most Gracious.

[92] For it is not consonant with the majesty of (Allah) Most Gracious that He should beget a son.

[93] Not one of the beings in the heavens and the earth but must come to (Allah) Most Gracious as a servant.

[94] He does take an account of them (all), and hath numbered them (all) exactly.

[95] And every one of them will come to Him singly on the Day of Judgment.

Back to the main topic of my series of articles (1- 59); this is my question to you smart readers: “Is the Quran quoted from the Bible “? And which book contradicts with the sciences.

While my reasoning is not likely to have influence on the opinions of those who really believe in altruism, for the aim of the current section, I shall pretend that psychological egoism really exists, meaning that people are always have motives to act for their own best interest.

To be more specific, I shall suppose that the self-interest they are trying to achieve is nothing more then pleasure (avoidance of pain). I suppose that the pleasures that for us, humans, can be found at three levels. This idea was investigated and briefly discussed by Mill. He talks about lower level of pleasure (mostly physical) and higher level (intellectual) of pleasure. And I would like to expand them to involve one more level of pleasure, the third one, which I am going to call the Ultimate Pleasure.

No doubt, people really enjoy physical (carnal) pleasures. Eating, sleeping, touching, sexual activities and so on, are the instances of carnal pleasures. Of course, there exist plenty of physical pains we would like to escape. Some physical pains we agree to bear for a short time promise long-term benefits. All these belong to carnal pleasures, and thus this kind of pleasure is naturally one type of self-interest we all are in search for.

Another type of self-interest appears in the shape of intellectual pleasure. Acquiring knowledge, feeling loved, having a positive self-image and many other falls into the class of intellectual pleasures. The opposite for each of these components are pains that we would like to avoid all the ways possible. One seems to be happier when he can get more of these intellectual pleasures then when he is not able to. It also obvious that a person can be more happy and for a longer time by getting intellectual pleasures more then just by experiencing merely physical ones. To say in other words, physical pleasures are mostly short-lived, while intellectual pleasures can give a person much bigger and over-all pleasure and satisfaction.

Now goes, I believe, the highest level of pleasure than both the carnal and the intellectual pleasures all together can give. In other words, it is a kind of pleasure that when achieved, gives a greater strength, and much longer duration than the other two kinds. I called it the Ultimate Pleasure. This type of pleasure, to my mind, is the happiness one feels in realizing that he has acted in the “right” way. Although I cannot give an explicit definition to the “right” thing. Psychological Egoism clears up why a person chooses to act the way he acts, but makes no try to demarcate the boundaries of morally right or wrong things. So, I would better leave it up to some ethical theorists to define what is “right» in the meaning I used here. I guess for now, it is enough to say that when a person does something «right”, he wins a satisfaction that is nothing compared to all the other satisfactions possible.

Listed below are the seven mental laws that will bring anyone that follows them all the success they desire. Is it that simple? Simple maybe, easy, maybe not.

But anything worth having is worth applying some effort to attain. I hope you are able to use these truths to better your life and the lives of those around you. Books and books have been written concerning these laws and you can find some of most powerful ones ever written on the subject

The Law of Control

You feel good about yourself to the extent that you feel in control of your life. When you are working toward a goal that you feel good about and for which you have made a conscious decision to target, your actions support your feelings of being in control of your destiny.

The Law of Cause and Effect

For every effect in your life, there is a definite or specific cause. Change the cause and get rid of the effect.

The Law of Belief

Whatever you believe with feeling, becomes your reality. Whatever your belief system supports is what you become. If you believe with feeling that you will be a success, you will be. The same with failure.

The Law of Expectations

Whatever you “expect” with confidence becomes your self fulfilling prophecy. Not what you want, but what you expect!

Law of Attraction

You are a living magnet and attract whatever is in alignment with your dominant thoughts. Like attracts like and when you are clear about what you want to attract, you will. When you couple your desire with the intensity of feeling that comes with why you want the things you want, it will come.

Law of Correspondence

Your outer world corresponds to your inner world. You must be, rather than do! You cannot have a filthy car, wrinkled clothes and smell while convincing yourself and those around you that what is going on the inside is congruent with your stated desire to be the epitome of outward success.

Law of Mental Equivalency

Your thoughts, vividly imagined and repeated, while charged with emotion become your reality. You create the mental equivalent to what you want and everything else will follow.

What are the keys to making the Seven Mental Laws of Success work?

The first is….

Attitude

Attitude will overcome any obstacle. Attitude will change anyone that uses it and will create an advantage over any other person that doesn’t have the same burning desire and positive attitude. Having an attitude of confidence and of positive expectations will win over superior abilities but poor attitude every time. But, how do you find that positive and unstoppable attitude?

Expectations

Remember, it is not what you want, it is what you expect! Do you expect to find a parking spot close to the door, do you expect to make a putt, do you expect to close a sale or do you expect to be broke, depressed and to never win? What you expect, with intensity of feeling, is what you get. What causes you to have the expectations you have?

Beliefs

If you believe, with all your heart and soul that you will never quit or give up until you reach your goal, you will. If you believe that you have the talent, worthiness and what it takes to achieve what you have set out to achieve, you will. If you believe there is no way you will attain the things you want and that they are only dreams, then that is what they will remain: Dreams. So how do you come to have your beliefs?

Self Concept

What you have been told either directly or indirectly by those that helped to shape you, and what you have chosen to believe about what they told you about yourself, is what you are using to determine who you are. You have a self concept about your weight, your golf game, your singing voice, your income and all the different abilities in each and every area of your life. In other words, you believe you are capable of making changes, of becoming successful, of being highly respected, of being what ever it is you have become.

And the one key element necessary to create the best possible self concept is to love yourself. And loving yourself is not narcissistic self adulation bordering on the unhealthy. It is and has been a part of the wisdoms passed down through the ages. Two thousand years ago it was said to “love your neighbor as you love yourself”. Can you hate yourself and love your neighbor? Of course not.

Try this: Stand in front of a mirror and say fifty to one hundred times, “I like myself” and not smile. You can’t do it. Over and over tell yourself that you simply like you. That is a start and a big one.

The single most powerful way to implement all of the Seven Mental Laws of Success are to control your thoughts, which lead to feelings, which lead to having whatever it is that you want and truly expect.

So, how do you direct and focus your thinking to create positive outcomes that benefit yourself and others, that allow you to become all that you want to be, that lead to you taking total and complete responsibility for your life?

Just as you cannot know where you are going without knowing where you want to go, you cannot begin to empower your brain with the rich and bountiful food it wants and needs to take you to where you want to go unless you provide it with the tools to create the life you want.

Here are the Seven Ways to Create Positive Thinking and Feelings In Your Life

Visualizations

See the way you want your life to be without focusing on what you don’t want. When you say that want to see your life as no longer being broke, what is the focus? But, when you say you see your life as having a full bank account because you now use your talents in a fun, fulfilling and very profitable manner to better the lives of many people, you have a totally different focus.

In your mind’s eye, see your life as you truly want it to be. See it frequently, with vividness, intensity and for a long duration.

Affirmations

Use positive, present tense and personal statements and say them out loud. Say them when you are in a relaxed state so that your subconscious mind will here them. Say them first thing in the morning and the last thing at night. Say things like, “I make $X a year, month, week.”, or “I am happy, content and satisfied with my goals.”

Verbalizations

Write down on index cards and say out loud what you want for your life, what you have visualized, what you truly desire out of life. What you think is the best possible life you could dream of having. Say it out loud as you drive, say it in the mornings, say it with passion, desire and an expectation that it will happen, and then it will.

Act the Part

Keep your behavior consistent with you desires. You cannot be convinced you will be a major success and have it all if you lay under the dirty clothes in the floor of your closet all day. Act like you have already achieved all that you desire because it will not come to you if you are not ready to wear the coat of your desires comfortably.

Feed Your Mind

Listen to tapes as you drive. Read books, attend lectures, target specialized knowledge to acquire in any form you can find it. Do whatever it takes to continue to learn and grow and fill your whole being with positive personal growth oriented information.

Associate with Positive People

If you truly become energized by your desires to better yourself, your family and your position in life; if you truly begin to do what it takes to define your desires and work toward achieving them, you will outgrow those around you that refuse to share and uplift you in your journey. You will be drawn to those that are consistent in their determination to become all that God has intended for them and you will ultimately remove yourself from those that don’t. Being aware of it as soon as possible will only help.

Teach Others

You become what you teach and you teach what you are. Besides, once you have the knowledge, skills and energy that comes from self empowerment, direction and motivation you will want to share the good and positive way of life you know is available to all that choose to seek it.

What this all leads to is that we are personally responsible for everything we create in our lives and the sooner we are willing to accept this, the sooner we become the unstoppable force to create the life, loves and abundance we choose.

The fuel to The 7 Mental Laws of Success and The 7 Keys to Unlocking Them is contained in one word: Goals.

Creating goals that are congruent with your intent, are in the area of your own personal excellence and which utilize your individual and special talents, that are in balance with all areas of your life and reinforce your Major Purpose in life will fuel success, abundance, joy to all things you desire and even to those things you haven’t yet dared to dream.

The 7 Mental Laws of Success and The 7 Keys to Unlocking Them are the secrets to having anything you want in life. Anything. Follow these mental laws and continue to learn, develop and add to your understanding of them and you will truly have whatever you want out of life.

You can put these laws into action by determining what you want to achieve, and by creating the goals, verbalizations, visualizations and every other key to unlocking them.

The following is a list of some ideas and general principles that can be applied when communicating with young people:

•	All young people can learn, but not in the same way or at the same time.

•	All young people can benefit from a caring adult taking the time to be helpful.

•	All young people need to have positive experiences in school. Grades are not the only measure of success at school.

•	All young people need to develop thinking skills, not just problem solving and remembering facts.

The basic rules of communication with young people can be summarized as follows:

1.	Attend the speaker: - Give nonverbal clues you are listening, solicit continued input through verbal acknowledgement, and make contact. If you are doing other things while you are listening, then you are not really listening. This is the message you transmit to a person. Listening is the basis of good communication.

2.	Paraphrase the speaker: - Report in your own words what you have heard from the speaker. This reduces the likelihood of misunderstanding and shows the person that you have been listening.

3.	. Reflect the speaker’s feelings: - This is quite a difficult skill to master but really simple once the basic premise is understood. Success here requires you to be able to paraphrase content and then go to the next step by adding a feeling statement on the basis of what you have understood. I.e. If Mary says “I do not want to go home I hate my brother” a paraphrase would be “you hate your brother” If you want to turn this into a reflection of feeling statement add something like this “ When you talk about not wanting to go home because you hate your brother I get a real sense of fear”.

4.	Summarise the conversation: - A brief summary of a conversation allows you to make sure that you have understood all the most relevant points being made by the young person. It is also another chance to eliminate misunderstandings.

5.	In you role as a teacher, use self disclosure only for the benefit of the young person: - Self disclosure refers to talking about self, reporting personal experiences, sharing opinions and offering personal perceptions. In helping relationships with young people self disclosure should benefit the young person. I.e. if a young person tells you they are lonely you may say “when I went to school I was so lonely sometimes I would cry”.

6.	Interpret behavior: - You must interpret or synthesize clues through personal filters. Then judgments can be made and opinions formed. Remember though to be careful do not confuse opinion with fact. This leads to conflict. But communication with young people requires you to gauge more than just the spoken word.

7.	Probe sparingly: - Try to ask open ended questions with young people when probing. Avoid those types of questions that simply allow a yes or no answer. A question like “What happened to you today?” is likely to gain much more information than did you have a good day?”

8.	Give constructive feedback: - The goal is not confrontation. You should try to give constructive feed back. Build on the positives do not just criticize. Do not give feedback in unsolicited circumstances unless it is your role to do so.

“We’ve already worked with several clients who’ve used the game with their children,’’ says Lee Rosen, a board certified family law specialist and president of Rosen Law Firm. “ When parents split, they often find themselves in challenging situations on how to communicate with their kids and Earthquake in Zipland provides them with a unique tool.”

Through the main character, Moose, the game takes children and their parents on an interactive, exploratory quest where they face challenging tasks that uncover emotions including anger, loneliness, and conflicts surrounding loyalty. The game is designed to help children better cope with their parent’s separation through improving their communication skills.

“This is a tool that recently separated or divorced parents can utilize in effectively guiding their children through a smooth transition,” says Jennifer Coleman, life transition coach with Rosen Law Firm and a national certified counselor with a background in marriage and family counseling. “Children will have fun playing this interactive game while addressing some of the emotional issues they face concerning their parents’ divorce.”

Earthquake in Zipland is based on techniques and insights drawn from a variety of fields including clinical psychology, family counseling, and child and divorce/separation therapy.

Nations that deserve Woe in the Bible:

There are many Woes to the Israelites that are mentioned in six verses, Woes to Jerusalem, the bloody city! In five verses then there are another five Woe that are allied to the Israelites ; and they are Woes to: 1) the shepherds of Israel, 2) Ephraim (one of the Israelites’ tribes), 3) Ariel, the city where David dwelt, 4) Zion and 5) the daughter of Zion.

Woes to the Israelites (in six verses):

Jeremiah 4:13

Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled.

Jeremiah 6:4

Prepare ye war against her; arise, and let us go up at noon. Woe unto us! for the day goeth away, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out.

Lamentations 5:16

The crown is fallen from our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!

Hosea 7:13

Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: destruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.

Hosea 9:12

Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there shall not be a man left: yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!

Jude 1:11

Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

Woes to Jerusalem, the bloody city! The filthy, polluted, and oppressing city! (In five verses):

Jeremiah 13:27

I have seen thine adulteries, and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom, and thine abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem! wilt thou not be made clean? when shall it once be?

Ezekiel 24:6

Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum is therein, and whose scum is not gone out of it! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall upon it.

Ezekiel 24:9

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city! I will even make the pile for fire great.

Nahum 3:1

Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departeth not;

Zephaniah 3:1

Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city!

Woe to the shepherds of Israel

Ezekiel 34:2

Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?

Woe to Ephraim (one of the Israelites’ tribes).

Isaiah 28:1

Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!

Woe to Ariel, the city where David dwelt

Isaiah 29:1

Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt! add ye year to year; let them kill sacrifices.

Woe to them that are at ease in Zion

Amos 6:1

Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came!

Woe to the daughter of Zion

Jeremiah 4:31

For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, and the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that bewaileth herself, that spreadeth her hands, saying, Woe is me now! For my soul is wearied because of murderers.

In addition, then there are a dozen of Woes that are distributed unto 1) Moab, 2) Philistines, 3) Assyrian, 4) the land which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia, 5) those who go to Egypt, 6) Babylon, 7) Cherethites!, the land of the Philistines, 9) Unrepentant Cities, 10) Chorazin!, 11) Bethsaida and 12) the multitude of many people.

Woes to Moab:

Numbers 21:29

Woe to thee, Moab! thou art undone, O people of Chemosh: he hath given his sons that escaped, and his daughters, into captivity unto Sihon king of the Amorites.

Jeremiah 48:1

Against Moab thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Woe unto Nebo! for it is spoiled: Kiriathaim is confounded and taken: Misgab is confounded and dismayed.

Jeremiah 48:46

Woe be unto thee, O Moab! the people of Chemosh perisheth: for thy sons are taken captives, and thy daughters captives.

Woe to the Philistines

1 Samuel 4:7

And the Philistines were afraid, for they said; God is come into the camp. And they said, Woe unto us! for there hath not been such a thing heretofore.

1 Samuel 4:8

Woe unto us! Who shall deliver us out of the hand of these mighty Gods? These are the Gods that smote the Egyptians with all the plagues in the wilderness.

Woe to the Assyrian

Isaiah 10:5

[God’s Judgment on Assyria] “Woe to the Assyrian, the rod of my anger, in whose hand is the club of my wrath!

Woe to the land which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia

Isaiah 18:1

Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia:

Woe to those who go to Egypt

Isaiah 31:1

Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!

‘Woe! Woe to Babylon, the great city, the city of power

Revelation 18:10

Terrified at her torment, they will stand far off and cry: “‘Woe! Woe, O great city, O Babylon, city of power! In one hour your doom has come!’

Revelation 18:16

And cry out: “‘Woe! Woe, O great city, dressed in fine linen, purple and scarlet, and glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls!

Revelation 18:19

They will throw dust on their heads, and with weeping and mourning cry out: “‘Woe! Woe, O great city, where all who had ships on the sea became rich through her wealth! In one hour she has been brought to ruin!

Woe to the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites!, the land of the Philistines,

Zephaniah 2:5

Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the Lord is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.

Woe on Unrepentant Cities

Matthew 11:20

[Woe on Unrepentant Cities] Then Jesus began to denounce the cities in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent.

Woe to Chorazin! And Bethsaida

Matthew 11:21

Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

Luke 10:13

Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

Woe to the multitude of many people

Isaiah 17:12

Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!

However, the most interesting feature is that there are three Woes (Woe, Woe, and Woe) to the inhabiters of the earth and to the entire world

Woe, Woe and Woe to the inhabiters of the earth

Revelation 8:13

And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

Revelation 12:12

Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Woe to the entire world

Matthew 18:7

Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

Also, there are three more successive Woes!

Revelation 9:12

One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter.

Revelation 11:14

The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.

==================================

Nations that deserve Woe in the Quran:

Although the Bible mentions Woes in relation to specific nations and places e.g. Israelites Jerusalem Ephraim Ariel, Zion, Moab, Philistines, Assyrian, Ethiopia, Egypt, Babylon, Cherethites, Chorazin, Bethsaida etc., however, the Quran never mentions any specific nation and/or place in relation to Woe. Allah is warning some kinds of people with Woe. Such people may be found in any nation and in any place.

Woe to the unbelievers for a terrible punishment, Woe to the unbelievers because of the Fire! Woe then to the unbelievers for their Day which they were promised! , Woe to those who disbelieve for the scene of a Dreadful Day, Woe to the idolaters, Woe to those who did evil among the punishment of a Painful Day and Woe to those who write the Book with their own hands and then say: ‘This is from Allah, ‘ in order to gain a small price for it. So Woe to them for what their hands have written, and Woe to them for their earnings. It is obvious that the Quran is interesting in teaching us about the Day of Judgment and the Afterlife.

Woe to the unbelievers for a terrible punishment.

Surah: 14, Verse: 2

Allah to whom belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. Woe to the unbelievers for a terrible punishment.

Woe to the idolaters

Surah: 41, Verse: 6

Say (Prophet Muhammad): ‘I am only a human like you, to whom it is revealed that your God is One God. Therefore be straight with Him and ask Him to forgive you. Woe to the idolaters,

Woe to those who disbelieve for the scene of a Dreadful Day.

Surah: 19, Verse: 37

But the parties have fallen into variance among themselves, then woe to those who disbelieve for the scene of a Dreadful Day.

Woe to those who did evil among the punishment of a Painful Day.

Surah: 43, Verse: 65-66

[65] Yet the parties differed among themselves. So woe to those who did evil among the punishment of a Painful Day.

[66] are they looking for anything except the hour (to overtake them). it will come upon them all of a sudden while they do not perceive!

Woe to the unbelievers because of the Fire!

Surah: 38, Verse: 27 -28

[27] It was not in falsehood that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. That is the thought of the unbelievers. But Woe to the unbelievers because of the Fire!

[28] Are we to make those who believe and do good works the same as those who corrupt the earth? are we to make the righteous as the wicked?

Woe to them for what their hands have written, and Woe to them for their earnings

Surah: 2, Verse: 79

Woe to those who write the Book with their own hands and then say: ‘This is from Allah, ‘ in order to gain a small price for it. So Woe to them for what their hands have written, and Woe to them for their earnings.

Surah: 51, Verse: 60

Woe then to the unbelievers for their Day which they were promised!

Back to the main topic of my series of articles (1- 81); this is my question to you smart readers: “Is the Quran quoted from the Bible “?

Need a Gift For Your Lady?

Men, step right up! You have a special lady to buy for and you can’t decide what to get. As that day gets closer, the pressure builds inside you like a vice making it more difficult for you to make up your mind.

You recall the time, when in a panic, you ran into the last open store and all you could find was a gift lower than the old standby, the generic “hope it smells like the real thing” perfume. Maybe it’s time you know what your lady really wants.

Most men think that women only want to receive pricey and flashy gifts. Think of an item she’ll use in her everyday activities. Now I’m not suggesting you run down to the local convenience store and pick her up a 6 pack of deodorant. However, if you spend a few moments thinking about whom you are trying to please, the ideas will come flooding to you.

What does she like to do for fun? Perhaps a cordless headset for her cell phone or a subscription to an audio book website would be just right.

There are many ladies that love sports as much as men. Is there a sport she really enjoys? A pair of roller blades or a tennis racket might fit the bill.

Is she a corporate woman? Possibly, she could use a new leather briefcase, a mahogany desk set, or a fun new computer gizmo gadget to add to her mounting collection. Truly, keeping her comfortable during her hard day at work is a sure way to keep her happy.

Is she into the latest fashions? Where the wind chills, think about a luxurious plush robe with a pair of fuzzy slippers. And, no matter where you live a stylish watch is always a hit.

Is she a car buff? If you lady tends to be practical, she’ll love a car organizer kit that will keep her car tidy. Perhaps a new stereo, amplifier, set of speakers, or an In-Dash DVD player would rev her up.

Sometimes, women aren’t practical in the least. Still, the perfect gift for them is easy to find. For the romantic woman in your life, focus your attention on art and culture. For the adventurer in your life, consider such things as the outdoors, leisure, and travel.

Does playing guitar, reading or music fit your lady’s style? If that’s the case, maybe you could get her a gift that she isn’t expecting such as a new guitar that she’s wanted to learn, a set of books from her favorite author, or tickets to see her favorite artist in concert. Don’t forget, if you get concert tickets, the extra ticket should be for her to take a friend.

Could your adventure loving woman use new ski gloves, a snow board, digital camera with all the accessories, a new rack to hold her bicycle on the car, or airfare to an action-packed destination she’s been mentioning? Maybe a mapping system for the car, a new scooter to cruise around the neighborhood, a citywide treasure hunt is fun, or even just a week off from some chores that she hates? Don’t forget, some of the best gifts are ones that she can’t hold in her hands.

Although, ladies have the prerogative to change their minds about what they like, those that love jewelry always love jewelry. A practical woman will always enjoy a practical gift. Romantic women will forever appreciate any gift that expresses your love for her. Your adventurous lady can’t wait to leap into something exciting and new. If it’s worked in the past, it will work again. When the gift matches the person that it was intended for there it is magical — and that’s what makes it special.

What Does it Take to Study Psychology at Reputed Universities and Colleges?

While this is a very interesting field to be involved in there are many fantastic areas that you can specialize in after you have finished with your study in psychology.

You should look at the different courses that you can study to help you get the degree that you need. Some of these courses are basic ones that every student needs to learn.

For the person who is going to study psychology there are many interesting foundation courses that you will have to go through. Some universities have fieldwork as part of the pathway to becoming a psychologist. This is yet another avenue to study psychology. The person who is thoroughly interested in how human behavior and emotions are tied together will welcome the opportunity to participate in fieldwork.

Fieldwork will give them the opportunity to see the actual working side of psychology. From this area of psychology you can determine which area or field of study psychology wise fascinates you the most. This is probably the point at which you will have enough information to choose the career that you will be following for the rest of our life. It is also the area of study that you will be concentrating on the most.

Before you progress further you should know that in your goal to study psychology it will afford you the ability to interact with different people on an intimate level. You should have the necessary emotional strength and ability to distance yourself when the need arises. While this may not seem that important while you study psychology, it becomes very important as you begin your career as a psychologist.

There are some areas of this field that require you to work compassionately with your clients but you should also be able to step back and see how they are interacting with you and society at large. This can also be termed as another way to study psychology as it actually happens.

Since psychology depends on the way that we perceive our lives, our surroundings and our emotions there are many things that need to be taken into account when you are studying people. So when you elect to study psychology you should be aware that it contains many facets of humanity itself. Therefore never rush to make assumptions and judgments – for just as you are studying the way other people react in society so too can some one else be studying you.

Now more than ever, scientific surveys are attesting the primary role played by stress in triggering or aggravating different physical and emotional afflictions.

In the June 6, 1983 issue of Time Magazine, the cover story labeled stress “The Epidemic of the Eighties.” It also said that stress is our leading health problem. Indeed one has to recognize that our world has become a lot more complicated and stressful in the last two decades since that article was written.

Numerous surveys indicate that almost everybody is under the impression of being subject to a lot of stress. Authorities in the field estimate that between 75 and 90 percent of all visits to primary care physicians somehow have to do with stress.

Most people report their stress is primarily due to their job. And stress levels have also grown in children and the elderly population because of several reasons including: Peer pressures that often push people to everything from smoking to alcoholism and drug abuse; the wearing away of religion and family values; increased crime rates; threats to personal safety; and last but not least social isolation and loneliness.

Stress can cause and aggravate conditions such as diabetes, ulcers, low back and neck pain, high blood pressure, strokes and heart attacks. This is due to the ever growing sympathetic nervous system activity along with a high level of cortisol, adrenaline, and other hormones. Chronic stress is often associated with lower immune system resistance. Stress can contribute to anxiety, depression, and its various effects on the body’s organs.

The following definition for “stress” can be found in the American Heritage Dictionary:

“To subject to physical or mental pressure, tension, or strain”

The following is the definition of “tension” from the same dictionary:

“Mental, emotional, or nervous strain”

The following definition is given for “anxiety”:

“A state of uneasiness and apprehension, as about future uncertainties”

And the following is the definition of “depression”:

“The condition of feeling sad or despondent”

The following is the definition of “clinical depression”:

“A psychiatric disorder characterized by an inability to concentrate, insomnia, loss of appetite, anhedonia, feelings of extreme sadness, guilt, helplessness and hopelessness, and thoughts of death.”

One thing is for sure, our mind is the first source of our feelings of stress, anxiety and depression. Put differently, what we think about, and our attitudes and points of view about our experiences create our feelings. That way, if we can learn how to change our thoughts, attitudes, and points of view, we can get rid of our feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression and change them for a more positive state of being.

Since the beginning of time, people have tried to find methods that would allow them to eliminate stress. With the pharmaceutical industry there seems to be a drug for everything. And to that end the industry has created a large line of sedatives from Valium to Xanax. If you choose to utilize drugs for relief, please be sure to pay attention to the fine print and learn about the side effects, which commonly include addiction and dependency. Unfortunately, these types of drugs aim at treating the symptoms, but not the cause. So as soon as one stops ingesting them, the symptoms can come back.

A finer method to get rid of tension, stress, anxiety, and depression is to work on the root cause, which as I said previously, is generally our thought processes. There is the good news. Hypnosis is all about relaxation. The AMA accepted hypnosis in 1958 as an effective way to cure stress or stress related symptoms. Moreover unlike anxiolytics, there are totally no negative side effects.

When you are in hypnosis, you are in the Alpha level of consciousness. It’s the daydream like temporary psychological state that we experience as we’re just about to fall asleep at night. And we experience it once again when we awaken again. There are several different ways that will help us guide ourselves into this state of tranquility, from progressive relaxation to visual imagery to listening to hypnosis CD’s.

Once we access a hypnotic state, we can communicate with our unconscious mind, which is the seat of our feelings. And it becomes easier to acknowledge new points of view and ideas that will help us to dissipate anxiety, or even avoid it completely.

NLP, which is a recent sort of hypnotherapy, offers numerous excellent methods for getting rid of stress. Perhaps the technique that works best is called the “swish” pattern - or the “flash” pattern. When you use this method, your unconscious will automatically use negative, stress producing mental images, as triggers for tranquilizing mental images. Otherwise stated, your stressors will automatically cause relaxation!

TO SUM THINGS UP

Tension, stress, anxiety, and depression can be caused by our thoughts. So by changing our attitude and the way we feel about our situation and what we’ve experienced, we can dissipate these feelings at the source. Hypnosis and NLP are natural tools that we can use to help us change our attitude and point of view to swiftly dissipate the root cause of our negative feelings.
